Australian-based Syrah Resources (ASX:SYR) is advancing its Balama graphite and vanadium project in Mozambique, Africa. The overall total Inferred Resource for the Balama Project, which to date includes Balama West and Balama East, is 1.15 billion tonnes at a grade of 10.2% Total Graphitic Carbon (TGC) and 0.23% V2O5 (Vanadium Pentoxide), containing 117 million tonnes of graphite and 2.7 million tonnes of V2O5. High grade zones at Balama East and Balama West total 306 million tonnes at 16.1% TGC and 0.43% V2O5. The company expects to release scoping study results for the Balama West zone sometime in June. The company has a market capitalization of AUS$309 million.

 Potash Ridge (TSX:PRK,OTCQX:POTRF)

Potash Ridge (TSX:PRK,OTCQX:POTRF) recently commenced pilot scale testing of its wholly-owned Blawn Mountain Alunite Project in Utah. Alunite is a sulfate mineral ore rich in both SOP (Sulphate of Potash) and alumina. The pilot plant is a component of the overall metallurgical test program which is expected to continue until the end of 2013. The Completion of a prefeasibility study is still anticipated for the end of the second quarter 2013.The company has a market capitalization of $41 million.

 Klondex Mines (TSX:KDX,OTCQX:KLNDF)

Klondex Mines (TSX:KDX,OTCQX:KLNDF) is primarily engaged in the surface and underground exploration and development of its wholly-owned Fire Creek gold property in North Central Nevada. The current resource is estimated to contain 1.6 million ounces gold in the indicated category and 458,000 oz gold in the inferred category. Klondex anticipates releasing an updated resource estimate calculated by Micon International in mid 2013. This updated resource will include 240,000 ft of core re-logging and an additional 120,000 feet of core drilling. The company has a market capitalization of $86 million.

Trevali Mining (TSX:TV,FWB:4TI,OTCQX:TREVF) is in the process of completing construction and initiating the commissioning phase of its Santander zinc-lead-silver Mine in Peru. The Company expects to commence crushing rock over the next several days with mineralized material processing and production to follow thereafter. Underground development also continues to progress well with a total of eight levels currently developed on the Magistral North and Central deposits. There is approximately 130,000 tonnes of mineralized feed currently stockpiled on the Coarse Mill Feed Pad which is expected to provide about 3-months of mill feed while the mine ramps up to its processing capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day. The company has a market capitalization of $130 million.

Pro-Or Inc. (TSXV:POI) expects to release its Prefeasibility study for commercial 200,000 tonnes per year plant for the recycling of PGMs from auto catalysts by end of June, 2013. Pro-Or Inc. has a current market capitalization of about 15 million.

 Mines Management (TSX:MGT)

Mines Management (TSX:MGT) is in the permitting phase of its Montanore silver-copper project located in northwestern Montana. As of November 2012 the company reported that the Biological Consultation and preparation of the Biological Opinion were underway, which, upon completion, are expected to be followed by the Final Environmental Impact Statement and Record of Decision. The company continues to limit activity levels, including capital expenditures, until the timing for the receipt of the Record of Decision for the Montanore Project becomes clearer. The company has a market capitalization of $30 million.

 Canadian International Minerals (TSXV:CIN)

Canadian International Minerals (TSXV:CIN) has been aggressively acquiring claims around Alpha Minerals Inc. and Fission Energy Corp’s PLS project in Athabasca region of west central Saskatchewan.  The claims were staked for their proximity to the PLS discovery and interpreted favourable geology for the occurrence of PLS style uranium mineralization. The company intends to release geological and technical details of the properties it has acquired once compilation and review of data is completed. The company has a market capitalization of $1.6 million.

 Quest Rare Minerals Ltd. (TSX:QRM)

Quest Rare Minerals Ltd. (TSX:QRM) is expecting to receive a Pre-Feasibility study on its Strange Lake Rare Earths project located 225 km northeast of Schefferville, Québec and 125 km west of the Voiseys Bay nickel-copper-cobalt deposit, eastern Labrador. In late October last year, Quest tabled an updated resource estimate on the B-Zone. It contains an Indicated Resource of 278.1 million tonnes grading 0.93% TREO+Y (Total Rare Earth Oxides plus Yittrium), 1.92% zirconium oxide (ZrO2), 0.18% niobium pentoxide (Nb2O5), 0.05% hafnium oxide (HfO2), containing a higher-grade “Enriched Zone” of 20.0 million tonnes 1.44% TREO+Y, 2.59% ZrO2, 0.34% Nb2O5 and 0.06% HfO2. The B-Zone hosts a further Inferred Resource of 214.4 million tonnes grading 0.85% TREO, 1.71% ZrO2, 0.14% Nb2O5 and 0.04% HfO2. The company currently has a market capitalization of $69 million.
