Mining weekly reported that French nuclear company Areva said it reached a record level for its uranium production last year, producing 9,760T.
As quoted in the market news:
Areva produced 3 661 t via its 51%-owned Katco joint venture with Kazatomprom and 3 065 t at its Somair mine in Niger. Its share in the Cominak mine in Niger yielded 512 t for Areva, the company said.
