DGTL Holdings Inc. Builds New Digital Media and Advertising Sales Department

DGTL Holdings Inc. is pleased to report the appointment of a new Digital Media Sales and Account Management department.

DGTL Holdings Inc. (TSXV:DGTL) (“DGTL” or the “Company”) is pleased to report the appointment of a new Digital Media Sales and Account Management department. DGTL welcomes the new department on behalf of its flagship subsidiary, #HASHOFF, for the purposes of servicing core customers through an assertive growth phase, as well as pursuing new business development opportunities in a variety of key verticals and brand categories.

Firstly, Mr. Joel Wright has been appointed to the role of Interim-CEO at #HASHOFF, as well as to the role of Strategic Advisor at DGTL Holdings Inc. These roles will have a special focus on the management of one of #HASHOFF’s key client accounts, AB-InBev.

Mr. Wright comes to DGTL with 15 years of experience as a media and advertising executive. Prior to building #HASHOFF, Mr. Wright managed the North American Digital Media Sales department for Travelocity. Travelocity’s North American interests produced over USD $100 million in annual revenue under his leadership (and were later acquired by Expedia). Mr. Wright also built and managed the digital media practice for leading Hollywood talent agency Paradigm and is a former Senior Digital Media Sales Executive at Yahoo! as well as at Marc Andreessen’s start-up Ning, Inc. (acquired by GLAM Media).

DGTL Holdings Inc. also welcomes Mr. Charlie Thomas, as Chief Strategy Officer for #HASHOFF. In this role, Mr. Thomas will identify and implement new strategic revenue streams and steward new product development, in support of sustainable growth plans.

Mr. Thomas comes to #HASHOFF with extensive senior executive experience and proven success in creating and scaling high growth digital media sales environments. Mr. Thomas has over 35 years in the Digital Media and Advertising sector, focused on the development and management of national digital advertising sales teams. As a pioneer in the sector, Mr. Thomas was one of the first to sell internet-based advertising space, and helped build the Digital Media department at Time Inc. (later AOL-Time-Warner).

Mr. Thomas also held positions as a Vice President, Regional Sales for Yahoo!, a Media Sales Strategy Consultant for Facebook and a Senior Vice President of Media Sales at Centro Inc. (managing a 120-person national digital media sales team). As Vice President of Advertising Sales at Broadcast.com (under founder Mark Cuban), Mr. Thomas contributed to the initial public offering, and its eventual sale to Yahoo!.

#HASHOFF also welcomes Ms. Lauren Himelstein to the role of new Senior Account Director. Ms. Himelstein will be focused on new business development with marketers, brands and agencies to expand #HASHOFF’s distribution into secondary markets.

Ms. Himelstein has held senior sales roles with some of the world’s leading Digital Media and Advertising firms and has a proven track record of building long term partnerships and increasing revenue with her clients. Past executive sales roles include those with Hearst Inc., Conde Nast and The New York Times.

Lastly, #HASHOFF and DGTL also welcome an expanded Account Management team, led by Mr. Peter VandeMotter, Director of Account Management and Ms. Ava Halabian, Sr. Account Manager. Included on the team are Ms. Samantha Lang (with experience in retail and fashion industries), Ms. Bridget Corry (with experience in major media brands at Conde Nast and Meredith Corporation), Ms. Blaire Mann (with experience in managing social media marketing for Social Code and L’ Oreal) and Mr. Josh Cantor (with experience in Retail, Consumer Electronics, Technology and Finance).
