W Resources Begins Earthworks at La Parilla Mine

W Resources plc (LSE:WRES) announced that earthworks have commenced at its Spain-based La Parilla mine. In addition, mobilization of the construction team to site has started.

W Resources plc (LSE:WRES) announced that earthworks have commenced at its Spain-based La Parilla mine. In addition, mobilization of the construction team to site has started.

As quoted in the press release:

Site preparation works are underway with earthworks pads for the offices and key construction infrastructure nearing completion.

The Crusher engineering is 75% finalised and award of the structural steel contract is expected to be completed early this month. Equipment manufacturing from Metso Minerals Portugal, Lda is well underway and nearing completion. The Crusher plant site works are on schedule to commence this month with the first concrete pour planned for May. Steel installation is scheduled to follow quickly thereafter with the Crushing plant equipment delivered to site as needed.

allmineral Aufbereitungstechnik GmbH & Co. KG of Germany is progressing engineering and manufacture of the Jig and Concentrator plants from Germany and these important plants remain on budget and on schedule.

Michael Masterman, chairman of W Resources, commented:

Overall W has moved quickly into a position where by the end of March 2018 approximately 60% of the total project commitments have been placed in firm contracts or purchase orders, providing good momentum in just over a month from financing completion.
