At the GreenRush Financial Conference, held on May 7, 2014, Cannabis Investing News had the chance to speak with Greg Shafransky of the Canadian division of the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML).

In the video below, he explains that his organization is “the national body that’s been working in the courts on behalf of Canadians and Americans to repeal marijuana laws” and notes that it has “made some major headway” in the United States. He also touches on the work NORML is currently doing in Canada.

To close, Shafransky gives an overview of NORML’s longer-term goals, commenting, “it’s always been our point of view that marijuana is a plant and persons should not be prosecuted or put in jail for possession of a plant.”
