Triton Minerals Ltd. (ASX:TON) announced preliminary findings from the next section of the initial drilling program at its Balama North project, stating that they are significant because they confirm that the graphite mineralization intersected is part of the same rock succession extending northeast from Syrah Resources Ltd.’s (ASX:SYR) Balama graphite-vanadium property.
Brad Boyle, managing director at Triton, commented:
These second drill results are again encouraging and continue to exceed our expectations. The drilled intersection of a further 50 cumulative metres of graphite mineralisation and having an approximate tested down-dip extent of 100m on Drill Section 2, some 900m north east from the previous intersection, provides Triton further confidence in the prospectivity of the Balama North project and the potential to locate high grade graphitic mineralisation over a considerable strike length.
