Reuters reported that in the December quarter, Fortescue, the world’s fourth biggest iron ore miner, increased shipments by 32% as compared to the previous year and almost all were headed for Chinese steel mills.

As quoted in the market news:

Fortescue’s shipments climbed to 19.6 million tonnes in the three months to Dec. 31, 2012, from 14.8 million in the corresponding period a year ago, the company said, meeting analysts’ expectations.
