AIM Ends the Week Up Nearly Two Points
The Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in London was up 1.92 points, at 727.14, on May 17.

Miners had a mixed morning, Beaufort Securities reported, with some companies posting gains and others plummeting.
This week’s top performer was Anglo American (LSE:AAL), which gained 21 points to hit 1,570 points. Other gainers include BHP Billiton (LSE:BLT), which climbed 27.5 points, reaching 1,939, and ENRC (LSE:ENRC), which posted a 2.4-point increase, rising to 297.7.
Several oil companies posted gains this week, including BP (LSE:BP), which was up 1.95 points, at 467.75, and Royal Dutch Shell (LSE:RDSA), which rose 19.5 points to hit 2,305.5 points.
Petrofac (LSE:PFC) also increased slightly, by one point, hitting 1,326 points. The company was given a boost due to an upgrade from “hold” to “buy” from Liberum Capital.
